Lofts and Historic Spaces
Merchant’s House Museum: This NoHo museum offers a wide variety of event options for parties of up to 30 guests! The backyard garden is perfect for weddings and other outdoor receptions and the interior is available for seated dinners and cocktail receptions. Rental fees are determined on a case-by-case basis to minimize the risk to the museum and its collections and depend on the overall complexity of the event (e.g., number of guests, length of the event, space(s) used, number of vendors, set-up involved, etc). NoHo Loft + Terrace: Hosted by Event Spaces New York. Flooded with natural lighting and a modern kitchen, this private NoHo loft and rooftop terrace can accommodate up to 100 guests. The space includes a full working chef’s kitchen, dining table and chairs for 20, and AV setup. It also comes with a team member to seamlessly produce the entirety of the event. Gene Frankel Theater: This NoHo theater has been providing the neighborhood with events since 1949! With both a ground floor theater and lower level rehersal spaces, The Gene Frankel Theater is a fantastic spot to host plays and more! The spaces are flexible, whether you need it for an hour or a week, Gene Frankel Theater can meet your needs. The main theater seats up to 74 and is fully equipped with all the staging technology needed for live performances. Read more here
The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture: This Bleecker Street space offers several spaces for a variety of events. Ranging from the Loreto Theater, capable of seating up to 275 guests, to their gallery space, capable of hosting 40 for a cocktail reception. La Mama: La Mama offers four different spaces: two theaters, an art gallery space, and a rehearsal studio. The theaters are fully equipped with audio and visual equipment, gender-neutral restrooms, dressing rooms, small kitchenettes, and large lobbies. Playwrights Downtown – Since 1983, the Playwrights Horizons Theater School has provided thousands of theater students with intensive theater training, through a four-year program that emphasizes professional development and interdisciplinary theater training. In addition to the educational services they provide, they also have a multitude of private studios and rehearsal spaces for rent. Conveniently located and affordably priced, spaces at Playwrights Rehearsal Studios are rented to hundreds of theater artists, not-for-profit arts groups and educational organizations annually. Joe’s Pub: Joe’s pub is available to rent for daytime film/video shoots, private showcases, album/book release events, press events, Non-Profit benefits, parties, and a variety of other occasions. They host 184 seated guests, but the space can be configured in various ways depending on the event type. Joe’s Pub offers full in-house catering. Angelika Film Center: This beloved New York City movie theater offers all six of its theater spaces for rent! With all of the audio/visual capabilities of a theater, it’s perfect for anything from a large lecture, annual meeting, or even a private film showing for groups of up to 240! Von: This beloved neighborhood spot, a 2018 Small Business Services Love Your Local award winner, is available for rental. Von’s underground lounge is available for private events up from 40 up to 150 guests. Featuring a private bar and private bathrooms alongside a dance floor and a separate entrance, this space is perfect for late nights and fun times. Read more here.
The Library at the Public : The Library at the Public offers space for either private events or group dining for parties of 12-175 guests. Characterized by vintage decor for a welcoming, lived-in feel with theater artifacts from past productions, The Library offers a full dinner menu by award-winning chef and partner Andrew Carmellini and a classically-inspired cocktail program! Lafayette Grand Bakery: The Salle Privee seats 8-20 guests and with a hide-able TV, it’s perfect for presentations and business meetings! Additionally, the Cave du Vin is able to hold 30-150 guests and includes private restrooms, coat check, and a full bar. Both event spaces are designed with flexibility in mind, with price dependent on food, drink, and service provided for your event. Read more here.
Il Buco: This NoHo favorite features two unique event spaces. The Wine Cellar is a cozy, private room that seats up to 26 guests for seated prix-fixe dinners or standing cocktail receptions. Additionally, The Chef’s Table, located at the back of the restaurant near the kitchen, provides an intimate, semi-private experience for up to 18 guests. Both spaces are cost-dependent on even specifics and season. At Il Buco Alimentari and Vineria, The Loft can accomodate up to 75 guests for a standing cocktail reception or 55 guests for a seated dinner. Cost is dependent on event specifics and season. And finally, Il Buco Vita (Il Buco’s lifesytle store) is a unique, private setting for events. Serving food from Il Buco, this space accomodates up to 20 guests with a completely customized menu. Vic’s: The Atrium, a skylit, semi-private space, is available for seated dinner parties of up to 26. Vic’s also offers an enclosed heated deck for parties of 10-12. Additionally, full restaurant buyouts are available for parties of 50-110. Both options serve prix-fixe menus with date-specific pricing. Read more here.
Indochine: “The restaurant that has helped New Yorkers feel famous since 1984” is available for full buyouts! Events at Indochine can host events for up to 200 guests at a cocktail reception or 130 seated guests. ATLA: For large parties, ATLA offers a set menu of their favorite dishes family-style, along with a customizable beverage menu. Groups of 8-16 can be accommodated indoors or in their private outdoor enclosure. Parties from from 17-25 can be accommodated in their private outdoor enclosure. ATLA offers a variety of menu options, from 4 and 5 course menu, to a chef served taco bar for large parties. Read More Here.
BondST: BondST offers three spaces for events. Seating up to 40 guests or 65 for a standing reception, the Tatami Room is perfect for business meetings and is equipped with a projector and internet access, with a reservation fee of $500 to $1,200 depending on the day. Additionally, there is a minimum spend of $1,500 to $8,500, dependent on day. The Lounge is an intimate space with a private sushi bar accommodating up to 85 guests and a rental fee of $950 to $3,500, dependent on day, and a minimum spend of $9,000 to $25,000. Lastly, the Upper Dining Room is a large event space ideal for large dinners of up to 85 seated guests, with a rental fee of $1,200 to $3,500 and a minimum spend upon request. The Upper Dining Room is also equipped with high speed internet and a projector. All event spaces have the option of three prix-fixe menus at $85, $125, and $150 per person and alcohol packages ranging from $95 to $145 per person, all of which goes towards reservation minimums.
