Sanitation & Graffiti Removal

DETAILS

The NoHo Clean Team provides over 12,000 service hours to the district annually. Our uniformed, five-person crew sweeps the sidewalks, empties and relines litter receptacles, cleans graffiti, paints street furniture, and in the winter months, shovels snow from corners and crosswalks. In FY 2022, the Clean Team cleaned 157 storefront graffiti incidents, used 56,899 trash bags, and worked 10,032 hours.

Public Improvements

DETAILS

The NoHo BID takes pride in beautifying the neighborhood’s public environment. We maintain over forty flower boxes with seasonal plantings; install custom litter receptacles; and continually advocate for upgrades and improvements to the district’s historic streetscapes. Our partnership with the City’s Departments of Transportation, Parks, Planning, and Landmarks, among others, helps ensure NoHo receives the proper resources to thrive and prosper as a downtown destination. As of 2022, we have 60 planters, 6 tree beds, 2 median beds, and we replaced 3 trees on Lafayette St. and Houston St.
