The Casper Dreamery located in Noho opened in 2018. This facility is a nap center that invites guests experience a 45-minute recharge session. For $25, guests are assigned a cozy pod with complimentary beverages and pajamas along with auto-fading lights, a bedside shelf with outlets, a reading light, and ventilation for air flow.

Jane Mayle, Designer and Founder of the line, was born in London, England and moved to the United States as a child. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Literature. Jane opened her beloved NoLita boutique and founded her namesake label, Mayle, in the Fall of 1999. She stepped away from fashion for several years from 2009-2015 to focus on a range of creative projects, which led her back to this next evolution of her brand.

Jill Platner has been making jewelry and sculpture on Crosby Street in NYC since 1993.

The original store opened in 1998 at 113 Crosby, and the store and studio now reside under the same historic roof at 165 Crosbyin NoHo. Every piece of jewelry is handcrafted by Jill and her exceptionally skilled team of artisans, masterminds and technicians in our Crosby Street Studio.

The workspace is housed in a building that dates back to 1823. It was originally built for the Roosevelt family, and in 1857 Elizabeth Blackwell, the first female in the U.S. to receive her M.D., opened the Infirmary for Women and Children there. It was the first hospital to be staffed by, provide for and teach women to become future doctors and nurses.

Maria Tash has been a designer and retailer of fine jewelry for over 21 years. Her interest began at a young age after attending a jewelry design class with her mother. However, this affinity did not fully bloom into a career until some years later after studying in London. There she discovered her appreciation for the art of body piercing and a love of Indian and Pakistani designs, most notably nostril and ear jewelry. Upon returning to the states she decided to turn her passion into a business after realizing how hard it was to find a highly regarded place that specialized in fine body art. It was not before long when Maria opened her first piercing and tattoo spa in New York City. Soon thereafter, noticing most all navel pieces sold were made only of industrial steel and lacking overall quality and style, Maria’s talent and innovation started to take effect. She promptly began to design her own line of fine navel jewelry. Faced with the challenge of creating pieces that were not only hypoallergenic and strong, but also comfortable and beautiful, Maria set out to do just that. And to ensure that her jewelry met the highest of her standards, she wore each design herself to test its durability and comfort. As the industry began to flourish so did Maria’s desire to expand her collections. Now including earrings, finger rings, necklaces and more, Maria utilizes the same standards and design techniques as her navel pieces to insure that her customers receive nothing but the utmost quality in fine jewelry. In addition to having attended New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology for jewelry making and design, Maria keeps current on the latest trends and innovations in the fashion industry through journals, lectures and seminars… and most importantly through her constant interaction with her customers. After an almost five-year closure, NoHo’s iconic, beloved Temple Bar has roared back-to-life. Originally opened in the early 90s by NoHo restauranteur George Schwartz, Temple Bar blew up in the Downtown scene for its glitzy environs and by riding the martini craze of the time. The supply chain in Japan is short and customers more often than not drink fresh, local tea. Driven by a simple to desire to shrink the supply chain and to connect these incredible teas with a wider audience, Zach began a two year process to develop relationships with several of Japan’s most notable tea producers. Generally, the best teas come from rural, isolated areas of Japan where small volume and high demand make procuring them difficult – and if they have been available, keeping them fresh has not been a high priority. We saw this as an opportunity and challenge worth undertaking.”

James Beard recognized Miami hotspot KYU is now open in NoHo! Led by esteemed chef Chris Arellanes, the NoHo location will bring the signature wood-fired, grilled, and smoked cuisine of the original. On the menu you’ll find dishes like seven-hour smoked Wagyu Brisket, wood-fired bass, smoked bone marrow, and so much more.

Right now, the restaurant is open for dinner, but there’s plans to expand to lunch and even brunch down the line. They also have a small bar area for drinks! In October 2014, partners Victoria Freeman, Marc Meyer and Chris Paraskevaides (Cookshop, Hundred Acres) introduced diners to Vic’s on Great Jones Street in NoHo. Vic’s resides in the re-imagined former space of Five Points, the Mediterranean restaurant that Freeman, Meyer and Paraskevaides opened together in 1999. After 15 years, the restaurateurs decided to renovate the restaurant and the result — Vic’s — is an entirely new establishment. Chef Hillary Sterling (A Voce, Lupa) presides over Vic’s locally sourced Italian-Mediterranean dishes, including house made pastas and pizzas (made with New York State flour) and market-driven plates cooked in the wood burning oven.

The Aicon Gallery gives New Yorkers a chance to experience the works of Indian and Pakistani artists without leaving the United States. The gallery focuses mainly on contemporary works from the later half of the 19th century.

Alexandre Gertsman Contemporary Art produces a series of group and individual exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing both the most established Russian-born artists as well as introducing talented, new artists. AGCA houses the largest collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, works on paper, and objects by contemporary artists from the former Soviet Union in the United States.

Many of the works represented at AGCA are by artists included in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and The Guggenheim Museum in New York; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.; the Tate Gallery in London; Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris; Museum of Modern Art in Cologne; Canadian National Gallery; Australian National Gallery; The National Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow; The Hermitage and The Russian Museum, both in St. Petersburg, to name a few.

Other artists have represented Russia at various Biennales and art presentations worldwide including the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Biennale in New York, the San Paolo Biennale in Brazil, and Moscow Biennale.

The launch of the Houston Bowery Wall program in New York City was a fruitful renaissance for one of the highest regarded mural walls in the United States. Keith Haring made the wall famous by painting an original mural as a gift to the community in the late 1970s. With ownership of the wall, the Goldman family felt a sense of responsibility to bring art and beauty to the public on a grand scale. Through this initiative, the Houston Bowery Wall invites established and emerging street artists from the United States and around the world who have a powerful message of inspiration, possibility, and hope.

Eric Firestone Gallery was established in 2010 at 4 Newtown Lane in East Hampton, New York. In 2015, the gallery expanded with an additional location — Eric Firestone Loft — in an historic artist live/work building at 4 Great Jones Street in New York City. Named after the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, best known for his popular radio and TV ministry in the 1950s and 60s, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture is a project of the Archdiocese of New York, presenting more than 75 events in theatre, film, music, and thought per season. The state-of-the-art complex has a 274-seat proscenium theater equipped with five-camera high-definition livestream capability and a multi-track recording studio with thirty-two onstage inputs; an 80-seat black box theater; four rehearsal studios; and an art gallery. This facility is the newest arts center in Manhattan in 35 years and a significant addition to the growing artistic community in NoHo.

Founded in 2005, the organization began facilitating public access to the studios of Sylvia Wald and Po Kim and to their art works. The organization’s educational program includes a guided tour of the working studios and the roof top garden of Sylvia Wald and Po Kim. In 2009, working with local and international cultural institutions, the organization began to host special temporary exhibitions of art works by local and international artists. The Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Art Gallery is situated in the most artistically vibrant neighborhood of New York City. With many international student and artist residents, and the close proximity to institutions such as New York University, Cooper Union and the New Museum of Contemporary Art makes the area a dynamic cultural destination.

We are a contemporary art gallery in New York City representing emerging artists run by Kathy Grayson, a curator and writer as well as a former director at Deitch Projects. Grayson has put together numerous exhibitions both at Deitch and at galleries and museums around the world while also making books, essays, performances and interdisciplinary art activities. “Filling a hole in the downtown community” is our goal.

In our 4000 sq. ft. Bowery space, we present monthly solo and group exhibitions– often two separate exhibitions simultaneously– including artists from emerging to established in our thematic shows. Between 1979 and 1986, Bernard Zürcher was a curator at the Musée de l’Orangerie, then the Palais de Tokyo. Between 1987 and 1990 he wrote several books on modern art, including Braque, vie et oeuvre (L’Office du Livre / Rizzoli, 1988) and Les Fauves (Hazan, 1995). In 1992, turning his back on modern art, he and his wife Gwenolee founded a contemporary art gallery, Galerie Zürcher, in Paris, and in 2009 a second, Zürcher Gallery, in New York.

The Dr. Bernard Heller Museum in New York is the visual extension of the spiritual, cultural, and educational life of the College-Institute, which provides graduate and professional programs for students of all faiths. It presents exhibitions, educational programs, and publications illuminating Jewish history, culture, and contemporary creativity and offers traveling exhibitions to venues throughout North America and around the world.

Considered one of the finest surviving examples of domestic architecture from the period, the 1832 late-Federal and Greek Revival Merchant’s House is a designated landmark on the federal, state, and city level. In New York City, it was the first building designated in the borough of Manhattan following the passing of the Landmarks Preservation law in April 1965. It is one of only 117 interior and exterior landmarks in the City. In 1966, the Merchant’s House was recognized as a National Historic Landmark (one of only 2,400) and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the only historic house museum in the Greenwich Village/Soho/NoHo neighborhoods and celebrated 85 years as a museum in 2021.

Maria Tash has been a designer and retailer of fine jewelry for over 21 years. Her interest began at a young age after attending a jewelry design class with her mother. However, this affinity did not fully bloom into a career until some years later after studying in London. There she discovered her appreciation for the art of body piercing and a love of Indian and Pakistani designs, most notably nostril and ear jewelry.
