Hemp beverage startup Recess has opened their first physical store in NoHo. Benjamin Witte, the company’s CEO, describes Recess IRL as an experiential space. A beautiful mashup of bright neon and chill vibes, the store perfectly embodies the company’s motto of “Calm. Cool. Collected.” Inside the store you’ll find funnelled, re-arrangeable seats, a sand pit, and a smattering of musings on the walls. The space is designed as a physical interpretation of the feeling drinking a recess gives.
Best of all, they have samples of their three flavors: Pom Hibisucs, Peach Ginger, and Blackberry Chai. It’s the perfect opportunity to try it and buy it in store.
Open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Recess IRL is currently slated to stay in NoHo through the end of March. The space also has a robust events calendar, with everything from information sessions about hemp to a silent yoga disco. Tickets are available for purchase on Recess’s website.
