For Women’s History Month, we’re partnering with over 30 neighborhood organizations from across NYC on the #SmallBusinessWonderWomen campaign. We’re sharing the wonderful women behind the businesses that make NoHo a special place. Every woman was asked to share what makes them a small business wonder woman and why they chose to make NoHo their home.
“I would have to say it’s my focus on people. Our business is very small, but we outperform our size because we take time to understand our clients as individuals and we love making those personal connections. The two most difficult things about being closed this past year have been worrying about how to best support our team, and then I REALLY miss the passing conversations I have with people in the hallways of our space. Those conversations have led to real friendships, business opportunities and very loyal clients.”
I LOVE NoHo. I was lucky enough to live in the neighborhood when I was in my 20s and it felt like a quaint village community with everything I needed on my doorstep. Now that I’m running a local business in the neighborhood I think that’s an even more appropriate description. Our neighbors (businesses & residents) are so friendly and supportive and it’s still one of the most charming areas in the city.”
