It’s important to note that every philanthropic institution has different requirements, resources, and conditions. We strongly encourage businesses to apply for all resources they can. Recieving help from private institutions does not impact your ability to recieve loans or grants from government entities.
Pace Small Business Development Center: The Pace Small Business Development Center offers one-on-one virtual business consulting for small businesses at no cost. You can use their business coaches to help walk you through different applications and COVID-19 questions you might have. Restaurant Response Program: Rethink Food, a New York City based nonprofit, is dedicated to building a more equitable food system. The Restaurant Response Program is designed to address food access challenges in this difficult time. Up to 30 restaurants in the City will be selected and eligible to recieve up to $40,000 to keep their doors open while expanding the mission of Rethink Food. Learn more information here.
NYC COVID-19 Response and Impact Fund: Bloomberg Philanthropies is offering both grants and zero-interest loans of up to small and middle-sized nonprofits. $75,000,000 will ultimately be made available for New York City-based nonprofits with a track record of serving New York City residents. ROC Relief: The Restaurant Opportunities Center is offering financial assitance to restaurant workers in this time of crisis. Though not currently accepting applications, we expect it to open up back soon. Apply here.
SCORE Small Business Coronavirus Hub: SCORE, a national business networking and mentorship organization backed by the Federal SBA, developed a Small Business Coronavirus Hub. You’ll find everything from online webinars and FAQs for just about every business operation question related to COVID-19 you can think of. Check it out here.
Coronavirus Financial Impact Loan: The Hebrew Free Loan Society is offering small zero-interest loans of $2,000 – $5,000 for individuals impacted by COVID-19. However, it may be used by small business owners to offset losses incurred during this outbreak. Get more information here.
One Fair Wage Help: The One Fair Wage Campaign is building a fund for tipped and service workers affected by COVID-19. Notably, the application is also available in Spanish. Apply here.
Bartender Emergency Assistance Program: The United States Bartenders’ Guild is offering emergency financial assistance for bartenders facing financial hardship. Membership in the Guild is not required to apply. Learn more and apply here.
RWCF COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund: This fund will set aside financial aid for both small restaurants and affected staff. More information here.
James Beard Foundation Relief Fund: The James Beard Foundation will be opening a fund for restaraunts affected by COVID-19. Details here.
Restaurant Employee Relief Fund: This fund by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation is raising money to that will go directly to restaurant employees affected by the Coronavirus. Applications open tomorrow, April 2nd, and each eligible applicant will recieve a one-time grant of $500. More here.
