Have an idea to make NoHo a better place? Make your voice heard through participatory budgeting. District 1 Councilmember Chris Marte, NoHo’s newly elected member on the City Council, is participating in this year’s process If you are a resident of NoHo, you are most likely in Marte’s Council District. If you’re unsure which is in your district, it’s shown in the map linked below. Each Councilmember has $1,000,000 to allocate to citizen-originated projects that are by, from, and for the community. The Participatory Budgeting page for District 1, where updates, events, etc. will be posted, is located here.
Make sure you can add your idea to the digital map and comment on others’ ideas by January 23rd. Additionally, you can email any ideas to pbnyc@council.nyc.gov. Later on, you’ll have the chance to vote on a narrowed-down list.
