Governor Hochul’s New Mask Mandate Now in Effect
Starting today, December 13th, 2021, all indoor public places, including businesses, in New York State are required to either have a mask mandate or a vaccine mandate. For example, a restaurant checking vaccines will have no change under the rule, but a retail shop will now have to mandate masks. Read the Rules

Mask Signage is Available

NYC Health has a robust library of COVID posters and flyers. In light of this new mandate, you can use this signage to set expectations and make rules clear. Download and print signage here. We will also be handing out NoHo themed collateral.

Deadline to Apply for COVID EIDL Loans is December 31st

At the end of this year, you will no longer be able to apply for a COVID EIDL loan or cash advance. With the PPP’s closure earlier this year, this is the last major federal aid. If you haven’t applied, make sure to do it soon. Learn more from PACE SBDC.

Governor Hochul Announces Property Owner Relief

A new program from New York State is offering financial aid to landlords who have unpaid rent from tenants due to COVID-19. If you were unable to secure federal relief, this program is designed to cover back rent owed. Learn more here

Key to NYC Expansion & Private Business Vaccine Mandate – What You Need to KnowLast week, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a major expansion to the Key to NYC program, better known as the vaccine mandate. The mandate will now apply to children 5+, and a full dosage is now required. These rules go into full effect on December 27th. Read Key to NYC Rules here.
Additionally, the mayor announced a private business vaccine mandate that will affect all businesses in New York City. Vaccines will be required of all employees. There’s still a lot of unanswered questions, and the guidance is due to be released by Wednesday, December 15th. We will share that information when it is available, but you can expect an update on this page

Department of Small Business Services Announces NYC Small Business Resilience Grant

If you’re a small business that missed out on or was ineligible for the Shuttered Venue Operators’ Grant or the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, this program is for you. Earn up to $10,000 in grant funding to help offset operational expenses incurred during COVID, including but not limited to rent, taxes, and utilities. Click here to learn more about this program
