Spend the afternoon getting to know the services and opportunities offered by government agencies and local non-profit organizations.

Meet the Village’s leading institutions like Lower East Side Preservation InitiativeThe Cooper UnionVillage Preservation – Greenwich Village Society For Historic PreservationThe Public Theater & Joe’s PubNew York University, and Washington Square Park Conservancy.

Find resources for small businesses by talking to dedicated groups like NYC Department of Small Business ServicesEast Village Independents Merchant Association (EVIMA) and Pace School of Small Business (Pace SBDC).

And get involved with your local community through connecting with nonprofits like Cooper Square CommitteeVisiting Neighbors, Inc. and Police Athletic League NYC. Talk to government agencies like State Senator Brad Hoylman’s Office and Council Member Carlina Rivera’s Office and learn Local Community Board 2 and 3 information.

Alongside the Community Connections Fair, learn more about sanitation rules from the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) a Recycle Your E-Waste event will be hosted on the Astor Plaza from 10am to 4pm by the Lower East Side Ecology Center
