For fifty years, NYU’s Grey Art Gallery has been a globally renowned gallery on the edge of Washington Square Park showing the works of some of the most influential artists of the past 100 years, including living artists. As part of their 50th anniversary, the gallery has been officially renamed to the Grey Art Museum, and is now in a new, larger home on Cooper Square, in a historic brick building in the NoHo Historic District.
The Museum is still building out to its final size, but in the meantime, you can enjoy their first exhibition in their new home Americans in Paris: Artists Working in Postwar France, 1946–1962.
