June 4th, 5th, and 6th, Astor Place will turn into NYC’s biggest stage as The Public Theater’s Mobile Unit debuts their production of As You Like It. No tickets necessary, simply show up to the plaza and enjoy this public production as they kick off their summer tour around the Five Boroughs. Shows will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. Directed by The Public’s inaugural Directing Fellow Emma Rose Went, this joyful new production follows Rosalind and her cousin Celia through the forest of Arden. Expect lovelorn shepherds, battling brothers, and pining jesters alongside true love and strange capers.
