On Earth Day, Council Member Rivera’s office kicked off the East Side Street Tree Survey, and volunteers are still needed to assist with surveying the tree beds in Council District 2! Some of the questions are: whether the tree is there, concerns about health, is there a tree guard, what is the state of the soil, are there rat burrows, is there litter and what type, and is there signage???
The survey will be administered through Monday, June 5. A report will be generated to help inform City agencies and the community about the conditions of the street trees and beds in our neighborhoods.
