Aicon Gallery will be welcoming two new exhibits this January: SpaceMosque by Saks Afridi and Seeds of Silence by Sujith S. N.
SpaceMosque is the first major U.S. solo exhibition by New York-based Saks Afridi. The exhibit “serves as a memorial and exploration of a parafictional phenomenon and time period that occurred here on Earth in the near past. Due to the arrival of a strange vessel from outer space, every human being on the planet got a prayer answered every 24 hours. Yet somehow this phenomenon has been erased from our memories. This exhibit explored this lost moment in time.”
Seeds of Silence comes from Mumbai-based Sujith S. N. and is his first New York exhibition! This exhibit “is framed around a new series of monumental works on paper depicting the artist’s iconic otherwordly landscapes sparesly populated by haunting structures and fragile human figures under vast and mysteriously luminescent night skies.”
