For decades, NoHo was a manufacturing center for New York’s garment industry. Though the factories are long since gone, a new generation of bespoke custom menswear is carrying on this legacy of creation in the neighborhood. Below is our guide on where to get custom clothing in NoHo.

Michael Andrews Bespoke: One of New York’s premiere bespoke stores since it opened in 2006, Michael Andrews got his start as a corporate attorney. As a lawyer, he understood the necessity of dressing the part and looking your best and founded Michael Andrews Bespoke with the goal of helping professionals do just that. Everything at this bespoke business is in-house, production, their whole catalog, and sales. Located at 2 Great Jones Alley, their store feels a world away from the busy streets of New York. Boglioli: This Italian brand set up their first US-based location here in NoHo. The company, known for their modern-meets-classic design, creates custom menswear pieces featuring high-quality fabrics. They’ve pioneered the concept of “soft-tailoring,” or a type of custom-tailoring designed to create a relaxed, effortless style. Known in Italy for its quality, it’s the official partner of the AC Milan soccer team! The K-Jacket, their most famous piece, is an easy-going blazer perfect for any occasion and their products run the gamut from sweaters to blazers, custom-shirts to pants of all kinds. Their store is located in the luxurious 10 Bond Street. They’re open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday and from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. For more information, click here.

Monseiur Brunold: Formerly located on Lafayette Street, and now in a suit-speakeasy of sorts, this appointment-only store is home to husband-wife duo Charles and Chloe Brunold. Their custom work is geared towards high end business wear like blazers, sport coats, and overcoats. They also create one-of-a-kind wedding pieces for husbands-to-be to create the perfect outfit for their special day. For more information, visit their website

Though not custom-clothing in the same sense, NoHo is also home to two businesses able to keep your belongings looking and fitting just right.

Bahman Cleaners: Though mostly a dry cleaner offering full wash and fold service, Bahman Cleaners also offers tailoring and zipper repair to help your garments both old-and-new looking perfect. They’ve got friendly service and are willing to work on just about anything you throw at them. Visit them at 210 Mercer Street, Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Star Shoe and Watch Repair: At the intersection of Bleecker and Broadway, Star Shoe and Watch Repair has existed for decades. In the basement of 674 Bleecker Street, you can get watches, shoes, and leather goods repaired at an affordable price with a free estimate before you commit. For more information, click here
