“The idea for Raked came to Dawn [Fichot, founder], the way many good ideas do – during a particularly grueling workout. In one of her first workouts back after successful treatments for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the instructor scolded the class for not stretching. She realized that while she had a unique reason for her mobility issues she wasn’t alone in her struggle to find a solution to the aches and pains.
She decided to take matters into her own hands but knew she could’t go it alone. She enlisted top NYC chiropractor Dr. Keren Day to create a stretch service that would both provide results and be easy for people to fit into their busy lives.
Dawn and Keren launched Racked in 2018 after a year+ of development, endless experimenting, hundreds of hours of beta testing and training, favors cashed in, jobs quit, vacations not taken, nights not slept, tears cried, and many, many (many) laughs.
The Racked Method was designed with a deep understanding of how the body works, how different muscle groups and joints work together (or not), and how to use the brain body connection in our favor. By starting with this foundation we are able to provide an experience that addresses what we know are typical ailments of different activities while also taking your specific needs into account.
